Nutrivert was developed by Paul Weeks of Wicken Fen Wholesome Foods which develops and produces a wide range of vegetarian and vegetable based foods.
Paul recognised that modern western diets could often benefit from a supplement of
food-
Modern foods and drinks are often lacking easy to absorb food based minerals and vitamins. One of the causes of this lack of nutrients may well have been the concentration on increasing yields of crops since the Second World War. Higher yields are being produced which means that the same quantity of nutrients are being shared amongst this increased yield, thereby reducing the density of food based nutrients.
Paul found that one teaspoon (5g) of Nutrivert a day slowly replaced these deficient vitamins and minerals as well as providing`all day energy.` What customers also found was that as their bodies filled up with the nutrients it has been looking for, it stopped craving fats and sugars.
What proved interesting was that as their weight stabilised, they found more confidence to exercise. They also changed their diet to include more lower GI products like brown pasta brown rice and brown bread as well as increasing their consumption of fruits and vegetables.
Customers often began to identify more nutrient dense foods and then stopped buying empty calories. They have started to become healthier and to enjoy life to the full.
To be a healthy nation again we need to encourage the production of nutrient dense foods not high volumes of empty calories. In the meantime the best thing to do is to eat a teaspoon of Nutrivert a day.
The original use of Nutrivert was to maintain optimum health of specialist logistics aid workers. Working at disaster sites, often in developing countries the aid workers encountered disrupted food and water supplies. This lead to a restricted diet with decreased energy levels and gastric problems leading to diarrhoea.
